It's FREEZING

heeeeyyyy family

Well this last week was great! (I feel like I start with that a lot lol).  We had a few miracles happen.  On Monday night we were able to go visit Nicketa and her husband and give her a blessing because she was feeling sick.  That P-Day we took a train to Komárom, a city right across the Danube from Szlovakia, and we went and looked around this really old fort.

On Tuesday we went on splits with the elders from Szombathely.  I was with Elder Thomsen from my group in the MTC, and we also served in the same district in Kispest.  We did a lot of streeting in the morning, and then we went to go look up a few of our investigators and got to teach the plan of Salvation to Nyanya and her friend Gizi.  While we were teaching them, our other investigator, Mária, from the same street walked in and invited us to come over after we were done at Nyanya's lol.  Then we went to a return appointment with this super nice lady, who's name is Gyöngyi (Pearl).  She was super nice!  It was so natural how she let us in and how we started talking about the gospel.  I was almost positive that she was either a less-active member of the church or that she had met with missionaries before, but she hadn't, she was just super nice.  We taught her the restoration and set up with her again.  She also came later that week to English Class!  Then we went to 2 other lessons.  On Wednesday we went to Buda to have splits with the Assistants.  I was with Elder Lowe, who has a car, and with whom I also served in the same district with long ago in Kispest.

On Thursday we met with Nicketa and Péter again, and Péter said that he will be baptised when Nicketa is!  Also their daughter Camille wants to start meeting with us.  Next meeting we're setting a date with them.

On Saturday there was a baptism.  The Elders serving in Tatabánya found a family through tracting that had lost contact with the church many years ago, but they brought them all back and baptised their daughter!  They came to Győr with almost the whole active Tatabánya branch because they don't have a font in Tatabánya.  Afterward was a donut party with the Győr ward and we had a talent show.  I played Bartók's Romanian Dances on violin with this really nice member, Bérces Éva, who playes piano really well.

On Sunday we went tracting (it has gotten really cold here!) and we talked to this lady at her gate, she wasnt super interested, so we gave her a card and went onward.  About 6 or 7 doors later, we were talking with this old woman, and the other woman came back to us and said that she felt like she needed to invite us in for tea to warm us up.  She said, "you won't be able to convert me, but i will at least give you some tea".  So we followed her back to her house!  We talked with her for a bit, and then we were about to leave and leave her with a prayer, and she said "im actually not entirely closed to hearing your guys' message if you both want to say a few things."  So we taught her the Restoration and left her with a Book of Mormon!  It was a super cool miracle.

We had a cool lesson in priesthood in church about "wasting", "spending", and "investing".  The teacher related it to the Sabbath day.  When we go about our activities, do we do so in such a way that we are wasting our time and energy, spending them, or investing them.  Investing is obviously the best way for us to use our time, energy, etc.  I definitely dont want to waste time while im here, but i dont just want to spend it away either (being satisfied with only instant results).  I really hope to make an investment of my efforts, not just in my own life, but in the lives of those whom I was called to serve.  love you all!
