Two Exchanges, One in Debrecen
Dearest family,
This last week was really good. We started out by going to Debrecen and doing some work there. Debrecen is super beautiful! Look it up. I worked with Elder Morgan on focusing on the Book of Mormon and Finding Faith to Find. We had some really good streeting sessions and overall found 3 new people to teach over the exchange. On Tuesday we taught a really nice woman we found the previous night.
On Wednesday we planned a lot of our Zone Conference training. We planned at a Starbucks and met a cool Hungarian/American from Massachusetts, Ádám.
Our ward had a Restoration Concert and was super good.
On Friday we started exchanges with the Győr Zone Leaders. I was with Elder Fales and was super impressed by him. His Hungarian is really good. He's a smart kid and a hard worker. He's a good kid. We also focused on using the Book of Mormon during finding and teaching. We found 2 new people to teach on Saturday through streeting and taught two lessons. Friday night we went streeting and found a cool woman who seemed pretty interested.
On Sunday after we gathered the numbers we went to meet with one of our new people, but they got sick and couldn't make it to the appointment. We made a lot of calls and set up with a TON of people; also with many who were formerly taught. We had a conversation with an older woman on a bench from. Later that night we finished up the numbers report.
Yesterday we had two member present lessons after Zone Conference. The first was a man whose wife is a recent convert. He's progressing well. We committed him to live like an already-baptized member of the church of Jesus Christ and he seemed super down. He says "well, im going to have to drink all my beer tonight if I'm going to start tomorrow". Later that night we met with our miracle family, though they are having some difficulty getting off smoking and getting their marriage papers in Romania. Their date will probably be postponed, though we don't know when at the moment.
