A Plate to the Face
Hello friends and family!
Well this last week was pretty great! We went on splits with the assistants and with the elders from Tatabánya, both here in Győr. We were able to talk to tons of people. One of the funny thing about serving as a missionary in a smaller European city is you start to get to know lots of people in the city, just off the street, and then you start seeing them everywhere.
We met with a new dude this week, he is about 23 years old. He had met with missionaries once in the past, but decided that it wasn't really for him. Though since then he has had some really cool experiences with prayer and God and actually really wants to be baptised! Next time we are meeting with him we will set the date. We also met with these two 40 year old guys, one a Christian, the other an Atheist. They are both really interested in learning more!
The weather has gotten WONDERFUL! a scary moment this week was when this man was walking down the street late at night when we were walking home from a lesson, and he had a plate above his head, gesturing like he was going to throw it at us. I never knew plates could be so scary!
I love the spirit that accompianies this work! I love the Book of Mormon and the spiritual strength it gives me to face the challenges of any day.
Lots of Love,
